When your work is a genuine expression of who you are, what you can build is extraordinary.
I work with founders, venture investors, and mission-driven leaders building companies, firms, and organizations that shape the world. The conviction at the center of everything I do: when your goals and actions are rooted in your deepest values and motivations, the hard times become more navigable, the work becomes a source of real joy, and what you build is far greater than strategy or effort alone can produce.
Where this comes from
My earliest academic home was international relations and development. I was puzzled by why policies and programs designed to help communities so often fell short. Consistently, at the core, they hadn't accounted for the values, motivations, and lived experience of the people at the center. When those were finally seen and honored, real change became possible.
That insight has never left me.
The most powerful force in any human endeavor is the alignment between who someone is and what they're building.
It took me into psychology — graduate and doctoral-level clinical training focused on how people make meaning, respond to pressure, and find their way toward genuine change. I also completed advanced training in somatic experiencing and Jungian sandplay, and have maintained a longstanding contemplative practice.
In parallel, I spent nearly two decades in executive search, partnering with venture investors and founders to optimize hiring decisions, not only on technical and functional experience and ability but on the human dimensions of fit: how leaders actually show up, and the values and motivations they bring with them.
What we do together
We work on real decisions: fundraising, hiring, negotiations, portfolio choices, strategic direction, and everything in between. The work is practical and grounded. It's also reflective.
We look at everything — the decisions in front of you, the people and dynamics around you, and the places where you might be getting in your own way without knowing it. We open up options, identify the strongest path forward, and make sure nothing important is being missed.
A life examined, in the oldest sense of that phrase, is the clearest path I know to building something that lasts.
